On the other hand, its a freaking practically flawless 928 with a manual.....
I love this shot, it reminds me of the giant squid from “20,000 leagues” for some reason.....
Part of me wishes it was some sort of weird color combo that these occasionally came in like burnt orange with a brown checkerboard....ok, Pasha, interior, but basic Coke White works for this.
I’ve always loved this wheel design ever since I was a kid.....
Both the larger “phone dial” wheels and the sport seat were extra in 1981.....
Too bad about the numb-nuts Joan Claybrook 85 mph speedometer, she’s only covered 20,000 miles in 36 years....
The asking price is close to the original price from 1981, $42,000(machine gun turrets are extra)
On the ebay.....
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
So, for $42K is this 928 Risky Business or a solid deal?

If you’re a collector, maybe mid-30s? If you want something to drive, spend the money on something with modern safety features - airbags, ABS, traction control, crumple zones.

This with a dark grey interior would be hot

42K? I’d buy it for... one quarter portion.

Why would you need a shovel?

To fill the huge hole with money.

Also if it really is 20K miles that may or may not be an unmixed blessing

I only see it as a time machine.
So, the average amount of miles driven a year is 13,000. I’m gonna imagine it like buying a gently used one in 1982. Brand new, it would’ve been $38,000 which is $104,000. I’d guess it would be $31,000 because of depreciation so it’s $83,000 in today’s money.
I say it’s a steal.
